How We Met
We swiped right! What does that mean? We're a Tinder success story.
It took six months before we went on our first date. Instead we spent that time getting to know each other over debates about chocolate (white chocolate is lying about being chocolate), our competitive NFL teams (the Patriots are superior - but we ignore 2007 and 2011), and bonding over our obsession of the TV show How I Met Your Mother. When we finally met in person, we already knew so much about each other, but we still closed Grand Apizza down and continued the night driving and walking the streets of Clinton talking for hours before finally ending the night at 3 AM when we were practically falling asleep on our feet.

Chris and Kate have a long-standing trivia battle of How I Met Your Mother facts. Kate is currently winning.

Chris is a Giants fan, Kate's a Patriots fan which makes for interesting football seasons every fall.

On their first date, they could only agree on a pop-punk/2000s playlist to listen to, which is still the preferred playlist they listen to together.

After one solo trip to Connecticut, Chris came home to the new family cat, a black fluffball named Binx.

Benny's mom and grandma are Chris' dad and step-mom's family dogs. Benny loves to go over and play with them.

They have spent 500+ hours driving between West Virginia and Connecticut (which is why they moved home).

Everywhere Kate and Chris travel, they bring back souvenirs, including a postcard and magnet to put in their home to remind them of that place. Some of their favorites are from their trip to Ireland in 2019.
