More Information
What to wear. Where to go. How to get there.
Where's everything happening?
The Welcome Party, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception are all happening at Roseland Park.
The address is 205 Roseland Park Road, Woodstock, CT 06281.
While we may label areas, everything can be found from the main area in the park.
Is there a rehearsal dinner or welcome party? Am I invited?
There is and you are! It is on June 23rd at Roseland Park and open to all guests invited to the wedding. We're going to have a quick rehearsal beforehand, then we'll meet everyone at the boat house for a welcome party. There will be snacks and we'll have some wine and beer, but feel free (and encouraged) to bring your own. Please park in the grassy area behind the barn unless assistance is needed.
Will there be a way to get there on Saturday? Bus? Parking at the venue?
Yes to both! There is ample parking at the venue. It's a grass area behind the barn and there will be attendants to let you know where to go. Along with this, those who need wheelchair/walker assistance can drive much closer to the ceremony location to drop off/be dropped off.
For those who don't want to drive (or planning ahead for the intense partying that will be happening), there is a bus going from the Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center to Roseland Park. There will be three trips at the start of the night and two trips at the end. You can view the schedule on the transportation page.
What should I wear to the wedding? Is there a color scheme to adhere to? Are heels appropriate for the ground?
Cocktail attire! Dresses, suits, fun patterned pants! We're not picky, but please don't wear tee shirts unless they have funny sayings on them. But really, cocktail is the best for the occasion. Just keep in mind, it's outdoors, it's summer, it's hot, possibly humid - possibly raining.
No color scheme, except stay far away from the white family on the color wheel (this is for your protection, the MOH will have a squirt gun with tie-dye in it, you've been warned).
Heels are another story. The ground is grass, gravel, wood-chips, and dirt when outside - which is a lot of the wedding. The only time we can guarantee a solid floor is when dancing. The barn is made out of old wood flooring, which isn't smooth, so going barefoot is not encouraged. Keep that in mind when picking your shoes. The new, pastel stilettos? Probably not. The tan wedges? Maybe. Up to you!
What happens if it rains?
We're getting married on June 24th, 2023 rain or shine. Do we have a back-up plan? Absolutely. Is it fool-proof? Absolutely not. But we'll be there, possibly with umbrellas, most likely in a barn, saying "I do". We hope you will be there too!
What time should I arrive?
We're asking people to show up between an hour to half an hour beforehand. If you're running late, we're asking people not to interrupt the ceremony. Unfortunately from the way the ceremony area is situated, if you walk in late, you're front and center. You do have the option to hike a hill and come in from the top, but we don't expect people to. So please hang out around the beautiful park if you're running late.
Why didn't I get a plus one?
There are a lot of you! Like, a lot-a lot. Both of us are from HUGE extended families. That means a lot of people and we have a limit on our guest count. With that in mind, we're also human and make mistakes. If you believe it's an oversight, just let us know, we can see how much wiggle room we have. But be aware, we can't invite the girl/guy you've been seeing for a few days. We can invite the girl/guy you've been seeing for a few years. Just ask us if you're not sure, we won't be stressed. Emailing us at meetthemonteleones@gmail.com is the best way to get ahold of us for our wedding.
Can I take pictures or videos during the wedding?
The short answer is yes! The long answer, just not during the ceremony. We're having an unplugged ceremony, meaning we do not want any phones, cameras, or video recorders being used during the ceremony unless you're a vendor whom we have a contract with. We want our guests to be present during our ceremony, not messing with their phones or changing their camera settings. We're paying an amazing team a lot of money to capture our wedding. Once we have access to those pictures, we'll be sharing the gallery with all of our guests where you can download the pictures at no cost. So please respect our wishes and keep your phones away.
What's this Meet The Monteleone's we keep seeing?
It's our wedding hashtag! While those might be dying out, we love the idea of having people use them so we can see the posts and good times everyone had. So if you're planning on posting on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc, please tag #Meetthemonteleones for us.
Why are there two hotel blocks? Is there a difference between them?
Yes! Due to the size of our guest list and the location of the venue, we knew there would be a lot of guests needing a hotel the night of the wedding. Since we're having the Welcome Party Friday evening at the wedding venue, we also knew that guests might need accommodations for Friday night too. Southbridge Hotel is for guests planning to stay Friday and Saturday night. This hotel will be having the shuttle to the wedding and the after-party Saturday night. This hotel can be booked for just Saturday night (or just Friday night if you need) but this will be outside of our wedding block and not subject to the block pricing.
We booked the Comfort Inn & Suites in Sturbridge, MA for guests staying only Saturday night.
Because of the size of the wedding and the rooms the hotels have allotted, we recommend booking them as soon as you are able.
